Angel of Innovation by Draughtman Angel of Innovation by Draughtman
So I had a good "experiment" when I felt low on inspiration and I think that may be why I no longer have a perfectly flat stomach (that's changing soon). But yea, the art came out pretty well, I don't know about the rest of me.

That is a fascinating piece. I don't know if it was your intention, but the symbolism of a laurel-crowned clockwork angel "emerging" from chaos is a fantastic metaphor for the triumph of science and technology - I absolutely love it!

Only thing I could say if you used wings, just make it look like your own. I'm sure I'm not the first person to come up with a design like this. Also, WHERE?!

Lol I live in San Antonio so I got them from this little clock repair store called a matter of time :) idk if you have a clock repair store wherever you are but that's where I got mine :) the man who worked there gave me two or three small coocoo clocks and two or three vey large ones, not grandfather clock size but they were a bit smaller than a basketball :) it was cheep to. Just make sure that there unwound so they don't take an eye out when your taking them apart and have a reeeeaally small flat head screw driver :)

Um, recycled bits, depression and trouble with girls just meshed into my head. Most of it is from a transmission, but the wings are from an umbrella and I painted the backdrop

Awww... sorry bout the girls and depression, I am one and know how we can be :P but I luv this a lot and think its really an amazing peace :D I'm not exactly tech savy so did u use a specific transmision from a specific thing? Cuz I try and do this kind of work and have a whole box of clock parts and no ideas to make myself use them :

I wish I could tell you what it's from but one of my friends dropped this on my porch (and nearly broke the damn thing) and said it was from his old car. I told him I wanted gears, like the ones from clocks, not 4 pound gears and metal. I really envy your clock parts. I've been meaning to get a hold of a grandfather clock and rip it to shreds so I can make more art out of it :D

The backdrop is this large... Ok I don't know what the background is, it's some kind of fiberboard that I hand painted, literally with my hands, no brushes at all. And thank you so much!
